Bride Seat Fabric: Washable?

I just picke up an older Zeta II and it needs a little TLC. I realized that it was all velcro so I've taken it off to clean it up. I was wondering if I could throw it in the washing machine. If so any specific settings, drying, etc?

Thanks!

What material is the seat made of? i.e. Alcantara? If anything use cold water with a light detergent and air dry.

I'm pretty sure it's just cloth. I have fabric cleaner so I might do that.

The cushions I could probably wash.

*Do this at your own risk*

I installed brand new red recaros in my car over the winter and in doing so got some grease on one of the cushions. I tested paint thinner overnight on some extra fabric that isn't seen. It did not discolor the fabric and I later used it to get the grease out.

There aren't really stains, it's just old and dirty.

add a mild laundry powder, not to much, to warm/hot water in a tub and hand wash it ,let soak for say 10mins,then final hand wash, empty tub put seat cover in washing machine and set it to rince out the water, set machine to gentle spin cycle then hang in garage to dry,the washing machine may tear your cover if it gets caught on the plastic internals, hope it does not shrink...
