box for W7 in an FD?

just wondering if anyone has built their own box for ONE W7 (doesn't really matter what size, no bigger than 12") to fit in a 3rd gen. been thinking about building an amp rack/sub enclosure....

pics would be great

oh another question... can you curve plexiglass?

I wouldn't mind seeing one too, I heard the W7s are nice.

Well, I don't have a box for a W7, but it offers no unusual challenges(beside the deep mounting depth) for a decent audio installer. I built a box for my 10" 8810 Eclipse AL sub in a few hours, it fits snug under the strut brace and between the towers with just enough room to fit the hawker odessey dry cell battery. The sub sits with a slight upward tilt facing the back of the car and my Xtant 603x is mounted on the opposite side(right under the cover)

A point of concern might be the amp being mounted on a box holding a W7, I have been warned against box mounted amps due to excess vibrations but due to my needs in this setup(quick removal for racing) I chose to take the chance. The W7 has a weeee bit more "umph" than my 881-, but not much

Also, yes, plexi can be bent, how easily is a whole nother matter entirely. You have to heat the stuff up very evenly and then apply uniform pressure to get it to the shape you want and then let it cool. I think this is usually done with some sort of oven and a vacuum mold. I don't know much about that stuff.

Best of luck to you!
