bose making annoying scretching noise!

Only when the radio is on will there be this scretching sound that will come on for 2-5 secs in no particular pattern. After about 20-30 minutes of putting up with this it will go away. Does not happen when the cd is on. Any idea because it is pissing me off!! Post away!! Thanks

Sounds like maybe the amp is on its way out.

Yep, the amp is getting ready to die. If you're interested in getting the amp repared pretty cheap (especially compared to replacing the speakers) check out www.carstereohelp.com for more information. They repaired a couple of my amps and the stereo now sounds amazing. I didn't realize how crappy my speakers really were when the amp wasn't fully functional.

MY Cds play fine and AM radio is fine. Only the scretching sounds occur on the FM.So how could it be the amp?
