Bose center channel with non Bose stereo?

I had the center tapped in to the front channels previously by previous owner. I'm not shure if the amp is still in the dash or not. I haven't removed the dash yet. I have a new JVC head unit that has 5.1 surround and a center channel mono output. So I thought of one of those line level converters working backwards to connect to the Bose amp. Since the RCA out will not have any power, then it's ok to connect to the amp but i'd need to convert to line level.

I couldn't find any car audio center channel amps, so the other option would be a very small 2 channel amp and a Y spliter to the center channel output of the head unit, then bypass the Bose amp and then not shure cause I don't think I could bridge it.

Has anyone hooked up a center and rear surround speakers?
