Bondo With Plastic & Paint Questions...

I was just wondering if you could use bondo as a filler for plastics. Also, when repainting the stuff, i'm trying to match an 89' TII interior black color, so what can I do to make it not look like brand new black paint on the plastic? I don't want this one piece to stand out as being extra clean or anything.

With enough sanding Bondo fiberglass resin jelly works for anything. How much are you filling? If it's just depresions and nicks, scratches, etc. bondo will work fine. Just take your time sanding. Also, I believe they make interior paints, but if you can't find those, you could use a flat paint so it wouldn't look like brandnew fiberglass.

So whats the deal with the body repair kit things opposed to the "cream hardener"? Do I mix them like in the directions then put it down and sand it to however I like? Or do I just use some of the cream hardener and sand that stuff down?

Usually the body repair kits a just a small amount of fiber glass resin, and the hardener, and then a few small pieces of fiberglass cloth. I just buy the 8 square feet packages of fiberglass cloth for like 4 bucks. You get way more for the money and you can use it for a lot of other stuff
