bondo or fiberglass

ok, so i pulled a few of the dents out of my project car but there is some definite smoothing that has to take place before paint prep. Should I use bondo or fiberglass to smooth over the bumps. I have used both alot and I think the fiberglass will hold better and flex better then bondo but it is a little more unorthadox so I was wondering if anyone else has used it or have you had good bondo experiences.

USC Duraglas is your best choice. It's waterproof and won't swell or shrink back like Bondo can/will.

jimlab, I'm not familiar with USC DURAGLAS so this is qualified.

I was going to suggest skipping the 'Bondo' PEP BOYS brand stuff and going to his local autobody supply store. Get a good quality filler and some hardner. It's not waterproof like resin but it shouldn't have to be. And IMO the fiberglass resin will sand hard as hell and won't take primer/paint the same as the surrounding surfaces, which could be a problem. I have never used fiberglass on metal as a filler, but I don't think it's designed to expand/contract at the same rate which could also affect adhesion.

Every body man I know uses Duraglas these days. The only people who still use Bondo are the type of people who'd also use chicken wire or an STP cap (don't laugh, there was an STP cap under 1/2" of Bondo on one of the quarter panels of my '67 Camaro) to shore up their repairs.

OK. We might even be talking about the same stuff. I'm just not familiar with the lastest brand names. I worked my way through college in a family owned shop. LOL, but that was when your Camaro was still relatively new. And I NEVER used an STP cap. I didn't even like Andy Granatelli (SP?).
Off-topic, but I remember finding some interesting stuff too. Renault's factory used cardboard btwn the quarters and inner wells to keep the two panels from rattling. Now there was some real build quality.
