You gotta be kidding me. All those Veilside kits are so overplayed and ugly. That kit doesn't even resemble the FD lines.

Hmmmm......lets see what happens when we put gay shapes and sharp edges on a round car.

I'm sorry, but I can't stand those kits.

As for that Scoot hood, I dont think it would suit your car well. Its over done and doesn't suit the FD lines too well IMO.

Your car looks incredible as it is

EDIT: ever thought about getting the MazdaSpeed or the FEED hood?

I must agree man; you car is great as is. Clean. That Scoot hood would be too much IMHO.

post your car pics
The thing I hate most about the Veilside kit is that it's like they completely forgot about the cornering lamps until they were done, then they just decided to have them bolted wherever they could fit them. It's all just a matter of personal preference, I guess. As for my car:

No bodywork done yet, but I plan to either go FEED front/RE rear diffuser (or nothing in the back) or '99 spec. By that time the car will be painted titanium silver metallic, but until then I'll probably either get the RacingBeat front air dam or the '99 spec front lip.

I'm seriously thinking about getting this hood from Rotary Extreme. I'm currently having problems keeping my water temps down. Florida is so freakin hot!
THIS IS NOT MY CAR!!!

I love this hood on this car. IMO it doesn't look right on a lighter color, but since mine is pretty dark, it should look good. What do you guys think?

Your car looks clean. Remind me of mine before the new paint.
The scoot hood is so badass I cant talk it up enough. I meet a guy at the last spring MADS that had the rotary extreme version and I was floored. It looks so much better in person than in pics. I say get it.

Back on topic, generally speaking i think body kits are lame. But I like the mazdaspeed stuff

Well, we didn't get to the bottom of the heat problems yet...So I'm still considering the Scoot Replica Hood from Rotary Extreme. What about water? Do I have to fabricate some kind of tray? I don't understand how a whole lot of water doesn't rush into the engine bay in the rain! I don't want my car to be only a "nice day" driver. I want to drive it daily. Any opinions? I'm not against a more mild-mannered vented hood, but I haven't seen any others that I like.

What shapes don't match the lines of the car???? On, my car everything looks smooth, like it belongs. The only thing I agree on is the corner lamps. It does look like they put them in where they could fit them. I would bet $100 that if that kit wasn't in the movie, not as many people would be hating it. More people do the '99 spec than the Veilside so if your reason is based on commoness hate the '99 spec.

Lots of the shapes are out of place and don't flow right with the FD lines IMO.

What movie? I've always hated that kit because alot of ricers use it and it was produced like over 10 years ago. All i was trying to say is that its overplayed, ugly and most of all doesn't look good on any car.

It's a Natural Water Injection System

No Seriously, before Zerobanger tries to beat me senseless again The Rotary Extreme Kits come with Trays, you can then drill holes in them to run small hoses off the trays to the bottom of the car, or drill them strategically so they run off and drip straight down...

I ran mine in Ca, without trays, and as long as I didn't let it sit (Park) in teh rain, it was fine to drive, hardly any water gets in when you're going 167 mph
The troubble was when it didn't rain and then it started overnite, I usually had to wait for it to dry out, or crank it a bit and then let it sit 10 Minutes and then crank it again... and it'd catch....

Bottom Line Chuck's (Rotary Extreme) hoods come with all that stuff...
