blown speakers

i got some 6 1/2 alpine type s's installed in the rear towers in my fc at tweeter audio in like october. the passenger side one blew, i took it back and they put in a new one. now it sounds like this one is fucked too. i think they fucked up the install, because wouldnt both the speakers get messed up instead of just that one?

Yes that very well could be the case, it could be they used the 16 year old wiring that is in the car and did not bother to run new stuff. If you don't feel up to taking both speakers out yourself and switching them in the towers to see if it STILL makes the noise on the other speaker then take it back to them and have them do it. Then tell them they need to run new wire, or have them check from the head unit, run a test wire, from the head unit to the back speaker. Just over the seats, not nice or anything, just to TEST the speaker, if it comes clean with the new wire. Then you know your problem.

Also, as unbelievable as this sounds, isolate your speaker via the head unit (rear then right or left) and hear if the correct sound is coming out. I drove around in mine for a bit & blew one of them do to the installation being reversed on the speaker. The "professional" installer had put the tweeter wire on the woofer & vice versa, thus the blown speaker. You'd think I'd noticed it right? Not with all the music pumped up. This is all negative right? No, the installer actually admited he made a mistake. I'm still buying from there....
