Black base seats need to be dyed.

I picked up a pair of base black fabric seats to replace my red leather seats. The only problem is the car that i got them from had been sitting outside for a long period of time and the sun has faded the seats. It's like a blue color now, and in certain spots you can see where it used to be black. The back of the seats where it's vynil is fine, i just need to dye the front where the fabric is. Has anybody done this? I would prefer to use a rub on dye. The spray dye is messier and don't want to over spray onto the vynil or plastics. Anybody recommend a product? If you have pics that would be great, and if you have done it along time ago, how is it holding up today?
