I have the greddy one, it was like 100 new, which was not to bad, you can find them cheaper used. And the wire harness was like 15bucks, I use the voltage guage on it, and it works well, never had any problems with it.

I've been doing a little searching... there are some that say they are a waste of money. The 7 is not my daily driver, so would it really be all that bad to sit and wait 60 - 90 sec. more? I guess I could put that $100 towards a ECU upgrade.

You dont have to wait 60 or 90 sec if you just drive ez for a minute before you shut it off. Turbo-Timers are snake oil especially with water cooled turbos.
At the drags, I just hang aroung the car for a cupla minutes

If you want a TURBO TIMER, and only a turbo timer that works good with other small functions like voltage and such, I think the greddy one is the best bang for the buck. i paid $89.99 for it brand new.

drive at cruising rpms (STAY OFF THE BOOST) with the fans on for the last 2 or 3 minutes before you reach your destination... that's really all you need. save yourself some money.
