3-4 shades of Plasti Dip would last quite a long (I estimate more than a year). I've plasti dipped certain parts of the front bumper of my daily driver, and after two years I'm thinking of running over it one or two shades again. Pretty easy and cheap.

Mothers Back to Black is the sh#t. Put on a liberal coat and it will last for months. Best part is it is just something you put after a car wash. No masking or prep work or anything.

This is the result of the heat gun.

Was a bit of a pain to get off as some of the clips were rusted.

+1 for plastidip, at $7/ can its hard to beat for price. it also holds up pretty good to rocks
