Okay, Okay, so you "Like" one brand over another...
But I'm not trying to shatter other people's eyeglasses in the neighboring car. I just need something that can take a 4 Channel Line Level Input, (RCA) or prefereably Optical In... and deliver enough power so that I can listen to music at a comfoirtable level -40db to -50db without getting distortion....
And Compactness is key for me, cause an amp that takes up 3/4 of my trunkspace = Useless, and heavy...
The question here, is when you say "X" = Crap... what are you basing this on !? Word of Mout = Useless... Factual Experience = Please Post....

hmmmm, sorry abt that tru is actually made in the usa, dls in sweden and audison in italy, tru and dls should be easy to get in the states.
tru tech's claim to fame is there build quality and there enthusiest roots (they build everything by hand!). tru builds some of the best amps out there, and of the mobile tube amps, their c7 tube would have to be the best (in fact all other mobile tube amps can be considered psuedo tube amps at best) and crosby i have demoed the tru line and it is excellent
also dls, if anyone is following the scene, is cleaning up in the SQ comps both in europe and the states, they provide good clean crisp power, a little too crisp for my aquired tastes but they too are exellent amps/speakers
as for audison, they also make excellent amps, although there have been reliability issues with some models, although that number is quite small. the sound is very clear but also smooth and "warm"
personally i think any of these three brands are leagues above any of those mentioned in the list, and have products that fall into a similar price range to any of those mentioned, if thats what your looking for.
well i just thought i clear up why i recommended those brands, but you shouldnt take my word for it, the only way you can really make up your mind is to go out and demo this equipment, as music is an aquired taste and some amps/speakers are more suited to different applications
hens (whoops, i just realised im on my friends account)

Best amp...
Well, I'll throw in the amp I've now owned twice, but it has to be bought used...
ESX Q1204 made by Zed Audio.
4 X 120w into 4 ohms
Highly customizable and stable into 2 or less ohms.
I'm running my latest one at 2 x 120w plus 1 x 240w.
I think this one cost me around $220 or so...?

merc_93: I remember those ESX amps being sold exclusively or almost exclusively by (the now defunct) Ampman Audio a few years ago, and they were a great bang-for-the-buck deal. Is that where you got yours from?
