Best location for front stage in an FC??

What is the best speaker location on an FC for a good solid front stage? I have an 87TII I was wondering would it be better to build the door panels and do speakers in the kick panels??

I am rather partial to front doors, good Coax or sep (MB Quart if you can afford them) and then a pair of small 8 ohm tweeters running about 3khz to 10khz under the idiot light panel (perffed) firing upwards.

Ends up with decent front stage, for both driver and passenger.

Mark knows way more about this stuff than I do, but I put 6.5" Quarts in the doors (stock location) and 4" Quarts in the dash (also stock location). The sound image is directly centered in the middle of the windshield. These are great speakers. You don't have to buy the top of the line Quarts - I got the RKC series speakers and am very impressed.

The doors are just fine if you'll mount the tweets at at angle up to you like i show in this picture. This was done with fiberglass then covered with vinyl.

I've heard of people putting tweets in vents and such but it's not really needed. The size of the car and where you sit will let you use the doors as a mounting position for great sound.

BTW those are Infinity Perfects component set. Very nice sounding but kinda expensive. You'd do alot better getting them off the web than through your local retail store.
