it all depends what you prefer really.

For instance I love white FD's however I'm not a white car kinda guy so I didn't go with it. Another color I thought of was black. Black cars are gorgeous however IMO black is hard to upkeep

I ended repainting my car from montego blue to velocity yellow because:

1) I didn't want to be a poser and paint it CYM
2) I'm not really much of a fan of the CYM and its flakes
3) I really liked the corvette yellow. Solid color with no flakes and right up my alley.

But its your car and IMO paint it to suit your personality and your likes. Don't put too much stock on what the forum thinks.

I really like the original desert brown metallic (I think that's the name and I'm pretty sure the color code is t9?)
Looks great with black rims!

that FD looks killer the colour suits it.

yea your right mate black is hard to keep clean always looks dusty/dirty.

CYM?? is that type of brand?? im using the german brand called MIPA.

I know what you mean mate I have to put up with the car at the end of the day. the car is a glossy purple at the moment but Id like to do something different with the car than the previous owner has. I was thinking maybe a factory colour but im not sure yet, its hard with 1st gens as some colours can make them look like rubbish.

Sorry I just saw this and thanks btw

CYM = Competition Yellow Mica = It is a 1993 R1 model Stock color; That color was only available for 93's and only in certain R1 packages.

The only thing I can suggest is to checkout a bunch of pics on the net and see which color speaks to you the best.

emerald green is that the Nissan Silvia s14 factory colour?

im not a fan of full black rims I got a set of performance challenger rims I might put on there black and silver and the silver breaks it up nice.

the car came with a group c spoiler on the car but I took it off and gave it away to someone whos doing a group C rx7 build, the 1st gen rx7 looks better with no spoiler IMO, but they don't look to bad with the little wrap around ones.
