Best CD player or Changer?

What is a good CD player to get? I'm so tired of the factory one, everytime I go over a bump or drive on the freeway where it's bumpy, the player skips. It gets so frustrating so what does everyone think?

Alpine, hands down best reliability. Porsche, BMW, Dalimer/Chyrsler and Acura all use them now as OEM as they are so reliable.

Almost all the $200+ CD players for the last 5 years are very skip resistant no matter what brand you chose.

For sound quality, look who has the most head units in the top ten at sound competitions... Alpine again.

IMO there is no other choice for a CD player in a car.

I used to have eclipse in my A4, I loved it. Not only does it look nice, it was just awesome and very high quality. It was a little on the expensive side though

At my shop, we only sell 3 'main' headunit brands...

Alpine, Sony, and Pioneer (Premier)

Chose between the Alpine and Pioneer... Personally I like the Pionner Premier, a lot of features for the $$$'s plus there was just something about the Alpine a few years ago I didnt like, the design was just unappealing to me.

Now as far as the sony, definately dont get a sony, we have a lot of DOA's with 30 days on the Xplod line... Their amps however are OK, lot of power for the money. Just the decks I dont like.

///ALPINE all the way...they even built up the AINET technology that encompasses control of the entire system from alarm, cd changer, head unit, etc etc...

I recently bought a Pioneer 7400 mp3 player for my first gen and it has met my expections and exceeded them with all the equalizer setting and general customization. I have had it for 3 months now and I do pizza delivery every day and I have yet to hear it skip!!! If you plan to hookup an amp for the speakers I would get the Premier 740mp just because it has 3 sets of preouts compaired to the 2 on the Pioneer 7400mp

Pioneer Premier. For the price Alpine cannot compare.
