does anyone have a picture of the Autometer Sport Comp gauges illuminated as installed in an FD? i'm trying to find out if their back lighting matches stock at all.

nevermind... looking at their webpage, it looks like you can buy replacement bulbs in lots of different colors, including amber.

 

They come with bulb condoms that can change the color as well.

 

I just painted my bulbs with a thin coat of red model paint, matches stock perfectly.

But I'm gonna get new gauges since they're not backlit. It's just front lighting haha.

 

Also look into LED replacements, I got red LED's and the color is just so much more intense and full.

 

Don't get them they are trash. I speak from experience.

 

Why? I'm about to get the boost and air/fuel ratio gauge from them. Bad readings?

 

Funny mine have been in my car for about a year and I have never had problems. I like them and we have installed them in some of our other cars also.

Just buy the LED's and put those in and they look great. It comes with the red condom to put on it already when you buy them. If you need a pic I think I have one of both the light it came with and the LED's just let me know.
