Autogauge stepper motor gauge...how to make it Red at night
I have a set of Autogauge gauges in my FD and they are bright white and dim when the lights are on......BUT...when they are turned off...they change to red (see below) then turn off.
Is there any way to make these stay red when the lights are turned on to match the rest of the factory gauges?

only thing i can think of is to take the guage apart then rewire the led, basically flip the wires so the defult is red then white on power down. i think your better off buying new guages then risk breaking this and being unable to sell it.

I had a gauge from a different company. But basically there were 2 wires, one you would hook to the keyed, or car ON power, an one to the dimmer signal for the stereo. If you wanted red at night you hooked up the according one to the stereo dimmer wire. So I would look into that, look over the wiring diagrams.

Its better if you sell it and just buy a new one....messing around with it is risky
but to tell you the truth those are nice gauges..and your right the red looks good hope you can make it stay that way even if its turn on goodluck
