audio/video/xbox system advice
hey
im getting some audio equipment for my 93' fd- red with tan leather int.
im getting an eclipse HU preamp, soundstream amps, focal sub, mb quart comp fronts and...
i also wanted to get an indash lcd which is connected to a modded xbox so i can upload all my songs onto the xbox, connect it to the HU with the video going to the lcd so i can basically see visualizations such as puling to the sound frequencies etc..and i can watch movies etc etc....
so the question I have is how would I mount all of this equipment i.e...where do u think is the best place to put the xbox and HU since the dash is taken over by the lcd?
thanks,
ashok

if you want a lcd that would look bad *** on a black dash.
as for the headunit location, on FC's, you can remove the top a/c vents and put the tv up there, and rearrange everything else to fit.......i dunno about FD's dashes.
put the xbox in the hatch.......or you can always take everything out and custom mount it.

id prefer to have the xbox in the front so i dont have to turn around constantly when using the remote so i was wondering how big a job it would be to flush mount the xbox where the front passenger air-bag is?

The fibre-optic cable will be fine for the remote control, but you may want to drill a small hole in the end of the remote to feed the cable into - otherwise it may not always get a good signal (like if you're in bright sunlight)
Put the Xbox in a custom surround in the boot, and then fit the optical extension cable into the remote plugin (same as with the remote itself)
As for the HU, if you want a good one, I highly reccomend the pioneer DEH P77MP, but you'll need an adaptor thats about $70 before you can plug any external sources into it!!!
But as for layout, place the HU in the stock place, the Xbox in the boot, the remote on the left hand side of the steering wheel on the dash, and if you can afford one, get a 15" plasma flatscreen pc screen. That way (after using an adaptor for the input and an invertor for the mains supply) you can have it on a bracket mounted to the roof so it swivels down. Not exactly discreet, but who cares!!!
DAshboard: if you've got a bright coloured car (white/yellow) then go for an Alu dash. If you've got a darker colour (black/red/blue) then go fo a black vinyl covered one, with small bits of alu to highlight it
