audio questions

heres my situation:

my bose system is crappin out, and I am now in the process of gathering components to replace it. I purchased an alpine cda-9856 today, as well as the wiring harness and Ipod adapter. I will probably pick up a set of 5.25 speakers tomorrow for the doors, but I definetly want a sub to pick up the lows. I want to keep everything as stock as possible. (I am reluctant to drill new holes, or cut panels, and I dont want a box in my hatch). so my question is this: can I replace the speakers in the bose snake, add an amp, and be home free? if this is the case, can someone reccomend a speaker amp combo? I realize these bose/audio questions come up frequently, but I couldnt find much in my 4 hours of searching. (only those that asked about this, but got no answer) I did see one person that mentioned replacing just the amp, but reused the bose speakers in the snake. again, not much info was provided. I would be interested in this as my speakers are fine, its just the amps that are dying.

thanks in advance!
John

it will work but subs need the correct amount of air space to sound good, in other words unless you find the perfect speaker in other words it will sound like crap
