audio Experts PLEASE HELP
OK where to begin, ive searched and searched this forum and others and am not finding the answers i need, heres the situation
1990 GTU
Bought a cd player and 2 4inch and 2 61/2inch speakers,
Front speakers went in perfect, the rear ones didnt drop in as easy as the front but iwas able to eventually get em in place.
Now on to the cd player, the idiot at best buy gave me the wrong connecters to mate up the old connector with the new cd connector, so i figured id do what ive always done when im put in the situation and cut the old connectors and splice to the new cd player wires. I was under the impression that the old/new wiring diagram i pulled off a audio forum was correct but it tuned out the wires were diffrent, found a diagram on this site but the guy didnt include the (+/-) for the speakers and i wasnt about to guess.
So im guna try to get the new connectors from the guy at best buy after work, and then splice the old connector that i cut off back on.
Now i hear people talkin about amps and rewiring all the spearks and so on BUT lookin at the online FSM at
http://208.62.166.66/guest/shop_man...ical_system.pdf
on page 88, it shows my stock stereo unit which is a type2 radio/tape
then on page 91 it shows the diagram for the type 2, the only amp on my car is for the door subs, which i cut the wires to right at the subs when i first got the car cause they were crakin badly. so from how it looks im not even using that amp and the 4 speakers i do use dont run off a amp but run directly to the unit.
SO, am i going to be able to jst get the new connectors for my 90 rx7 and be able to plug it in and go???
the 2 problems i see are guna be the antenna since there are 2jacks and the power ant wire since its negative is this correct, can some one give me detailed instructions on how i should handle??
thanks for any and all help

If your talking about problems with your wiring harness for your head unit it should have come with one. Alot of places like Best Buy and Circuit City like to use their own. Either you can order some wiring instructions from the manufacturer, or go back to Best Buy and demand that they give you the harness that comes with the head unit along with it's wiring instructions. They probably won't fix it for you since you tried to fix it yourself. But it shouldn't be that hard once you have the instructions you need.
I'm not really familiar with the set up of second gens, sorry I couldn't be more help.
Good luck.
