Anything I should know about electronic displays?
I was planning to do a 5 gauge set-up; 2 in tripower pod on centre speaker location, 3 in din space.
I came across this local guy who makes these displays for a reasonable price and he can design the system pretty much however you want it, warning lights, beeps, data logging, shift light, rpm display etc.

Now I'm thinking I can still keep the boost and AFR(or EGT) on dashboard and use Maxidisplay for the rest. I think, it will be more cost effective and tidy but is there anything I should know about this kind of set-up?
From what I've seen in forums, these kind of displays are preferred by racer types (maybe cause they use expensive motec etc.) and for street it's mostly the classic gauges. Is it a matter of preference or cost?

I've talked to the guy but I have to visit him and talk in detail as he designs for each persons requirements. Starting price is approx. $300 which includes 2 sensors afaik but shiftlight and other stuff is extra. I will let you know once I find out more but don't expect it to be very soon as he is in another part of the city and I'm very busy with work atm.
