Question Anyone tried re-covering R1/R2 seats?

I want to have my R2 seats re-upholstered to match the stock as closely as possible.

Anyone tried this already? Does the upholstery remove and reinstall cleanly? Did it turn out well? How much did it cost? What materials? Can I do it myself?

Dave

I was wondering that as well. Mine are getting a little rough as well. Unfortunately, the engine comes first, so It will be some time until I'm ready.

i recovered mine with factory maroon leather. i bought it from mazdaformance and put it on my self. it is really simple, just remember not to try to use the original wire loops holding the skins snug, because they dont bend easy. my seats look factory.
if you are in the least bit mechanically inclined, you can do this.
good luck.
