I'm trying to get my headlights to close 4/5 of the way down without buying the pivot controller, anyone know how to do this ?

unclip the electrical plugs that plug into the headlights.
Wind the little **** on the headlight to make the the lights go up to the desired height.
Lights will go back to normal when you plug connectors in again..so dont plug them in till your done having sleepy eyes or untill it gets dark..

you could try hooking up a kill switch in the power supply to the retractors?

I think you have to aim the gun towards you to do it.

what i meant by this is, flick the switch to cut the power to the retractors when theyre at an angle you're happy with.

This is the beat way to do it rather than cutting wires.....Just do what it says, and dont connect the plug, and you will be fine

Or just don't do "sleepy eyes" because you can't see with them.

I need to do em because my headlights keep hitting the bumper when they go all the way down.

wait maybe I misunderstood,
does the unplugging work temporary ?

if I unplug them then wind them up to where I want them, then plug them in, then press the headlight button, would it fold all the way back down/up or to where I adjusted the lights by the spinning ****?

As soon as you plug them back in, they go back to their original posistions. If they're hitting your bumper, loosen the bolts and the cover screws. There's a little room to wiggle. Then tighten.
