I noticed this is pretty popular on the supraforums, specifically the do-luck kit, where the center section is painted black, ie:


or even keep the whole bottom piece black



car has a cf hood and burnout front, and is going to get painted a color similar to candy apple red so i was trying to do something different. Just seeing if anyone has done anything similar, thanks

I like it on the Supras....but after looking at the burnout front some more i dunno that it would look all that great...

it looks good on the Supra because it is a bulky car and the one stipe on the bottom of the bumper doesn't look so wide. It also sets off the CF hoods. It wouldn't look good on a FD because a) their arent that many bumpers with a flat piece for the radiator mouth opening and b)it just doesn't blend with the car because it is a smaller sleeker car (which is why racing stripes on a FD just dont look good)

 

hmm i think i decided to keep it one color and paint it this laser red with gold flake from blueskaterboy
