Any resources for installing display IN rear view mirror?

Anybody know of any web resources for installing a display/etc in/behind the rear view mirror? Thinking of putting my PFC Commander display back there. Saw something about someone installing Valentine One radar detector remote displays in his M3 mirror, but can't find it.

TIA!

I have put small 2" monitors in mirrors so I can't see how it would be any different.

On those you get your local glass guy to cut a piece of glass the size of your mirror, tint the back side of the mirror with silver window film, and mount the screen behind it. When the screen is on, it is bright enough to shine through the silver tint only where the screen is.

Although its not as perfect as a silver job on a mirror, it works pretty well, and is a great show item.

why can't you also just cut out the square and i twould be even easier to see. (i figure you wouldn't because you still want as much mirror as possible to see through). if so get one of those after market rear view mirrors. so if you **** up no biggie and you have a bigger mirror if you don't.
