any reason not to buy a KDC-X491 for the FD
here are the details:

$111 new on ebay. Will be hooked up thru the stock bose system until I can get factory grilles/mounts for the rear side pockets and a carpet to eliminate the hose. Just wondering if anyone has a good argument against this particular model. I need to get the double din unit out of there to relocate some guages.

Persona non grata
No reason not too, it'll work fine and sound decent ... at least Kenwood stuff doesn't look nearly as horrible as it did a couple years ago. 3-4 year old Kenwood untils looked like a bad acid trip.

I never thought Kenwood's were the most user friendly. Alpine or Pioneer is what I would suggest. You will need to get the adapter for bypassing the BOSE stuff...I think. I had a buddy that had to do that with his Maxima.
