Any intrest in a carbon fiber r1 lip?

I was messin around with the idea of doing a batch of carbon fiber r1 lips. The quality is some of the best out there but because of the time involved, quality and a limited number the price is going to around $300-$350. The price could drop some depending on what kinda interest I get. If there is enough interest I can post some photos of a few pieces that were done.

A few people have already done that idea, including the 99-spec lips.... most notably Skunks out in HI. He posted a few pics a while back

I've heard you made one but I never heard anything about you making more. Are you making more? I don't want to step on any toes but there need to be some competition with manufactures. The prices for 7 parts need to come down. I'm tired of seeing the honda crew get full kits for less then $400 and we have to pay 600 just for side skirts or $1000 for a hood. Well at least it keeps most of the ricers away

Hey wicked sol
if your into fabbing new stuff, i always wanted carbon fiber intake pipes. The same as the hard pipes for our 3rd gens but carbon fiber. My Motorcycle has a carbon fiber exhaust and when i'm done riding, lets say for 30 mins, i can literally grap the exhaust with both hands, just the carbon fiber part, and it would only be slightly warm. This is exhaust temps i'm talking about. I'm amased of the heat properties of it. It holds no heat! So intake pipes would be a good seller, i would think. It would help those cold air boxs ,keep the temps down even more.I'd purchase it. It would have to fave good quality of course, but it sounds like you make good quality.

Hmm.... that's interesting Are you sure they aren't just CF wrapped around a normal muffler like the HKS Hi-Pers? I'm thinking it might be better to have the gothamracing/ebay intake pipes wrapped, so there's still some sturdiness..... Then again, they might not fit the intakes anymore.
Regardless, that's interesting.

Yeah my motorcycle has a D&D carbin fiber exhaust. My exhaust is made of true carbon fiber, when i look at the bottom of the pipe you can see where it was over lapped. And true arbon fiber can be very sturdy. The make bicycle rims out of it,seats, ect.... It doesn't have to be wrapped to have strength.
