anything like that is going to be easier to disable than install. alot of newer cars have those immobilizer ignitions where there is a magnet in the key and if its not in when the car is started it will just stall, sure something like that is going to be pricey though...

alarms and locks and all that stuff just keep honest people honest, they don't stop thiefs

get some kind of an alarm with SST (1mile range) and try not to go more than a mile from your car...
thats about all you can do man

or hide some sort of GPS thing somewhere that doesn't require 12v from the car so that if it is stolen you can track it, could weld it into a 'black box' and hide it wehre its not nocticable or easily found

The idea behind theft prevention is not to make your car theft proof.
Make it look likes its not worth the effort because of the security and make the thief go look for something easier.

He means that you make the thief realize it's too much trouble to try stealing your car and there are easier targets out there.

my car has a fuel pump switch, and a quick release.

Im going to get solex locks too, as well as a decent alarm system.

hard to steal a car with no steering wheel and wont idle (assuming they dont turn on the switch)

this has been covered before but I have never really chimed in.

IMO and many other people's opinion. If a thief really wants your car, they will get it. But the only way to really try to avoid theft is to, like previously mentioned, make it hard for the thief to where he would rather not spend the effort and steal a car that is much easier to steal.

Some ways to do this would be.
Keep iPods, wallets, cd's, stereo's hidden. (either put them away or have good tint or both)
Have a removable steering wheel.
Have a fuel pump switch
Have a batter cut switch
Have an antitheft system

maybe my question was misleading, let me clarify...i understand no car is thief proof, what i want are suggestions towards making it very difficult, i know that a thief can find his way around almost anything with time, what i want are suggestions towards what can be done to make the thief take long so that if noticed i can go to the car with my 45...the fuel pump switch and other suggestions are great, any links so that i can check more on it or any DIY, thanx
