Maybe if your car was black. It looks like of unattractive right now but you'll get used to it. I would of done that to a FD only if it was mine & it was silver.

Yep. Kind of like getting a new pair of fancy running shoes (when you've been wearing the same old loafers - now I am REALLY dating myself.....loafers - HAH!).......you just keep looking at them, they fit ok, but you wonder if other people are snickering behind your back.

God, I love this country! I wonder what the poor bastards in Afghanistan are thinking about right now.

The best part of this mod: $7.95 for fancy spray paint, 4 hours of my time from start to finish. Perfect for a thrifty hot rodder.

just too much like Altezza's for me... yea they look reaaaaallllly good, but not with all these ricers and their tails... if nobody had altezzas i would love them... otherwise i like the JDM look better, or that one guy that put the carbon fiber tape in there... that was original

What's wrong with wanting to hang with the ricer crowd? (Jeesh - you're right, what I should do is spend my time doing tail light conversions for Civics and Accords - I'd be a freakin' millionaire by now! My buddy owns a speed shop and EVERY Friday afternoon there is a line of ricers waiting to buy that plastic ****!)

I don't think it looks ricey. Being rice is a combination of things not just one (unless you got like a fake Blow off valve or something). It's good work just stands out too much for my taste. I like the black stealth look. but that's just me. But I'm sure many will really like it.

Since it's been only 4 hours time to do some work...take your lights out....get some fitting chrome bezels and bring out the look of the tailights....That'll keep you busy for a while...

BTW, nice colour and all..very unique...but the circled lights just look to cheap....stray from the Hondas....

Go on, little boy...lol

Hmmm. chrome bezels..........I don't know but maybe you're right - if I take it one step further.....maybe I can get into the ricer hall of fame!

Nah, it's VR, and it's really red and not faded. My digital camera is about 4 years old and a pos. But if I ever do repaint the car that would be high on my list, as long as it was a 3 stage job!

Nah, put the gun away:

1. The "rear hatch sun shield" is an OEM Mazda
option. It's in the brochure and is still probably
available through dealers. I think I paid around
$270.00. It's well made.

2. The exhaust is an Apexi N1, although it is currently
on it's way to Virginia and I am putting on an RB
dual tip 'cause I like the stock look ALOT more than
single can. BTW, the Apexi stuff is really incredible
quality.

3. I am used to my new tailights and I am keeping them
since everyone from Cali likes them, and everyone
knows that Cali is the **** when it comes to cars.
NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH! I'm cutting edge!!!HAHAHAHA

Ron, I learned long ago not to bother asking opinions online. I did my tailights a year ago and thought I'd ask what people thought. Got largely the same response as you - and in the end it really didn't matter at all.
