Amemiya induction headlight question
Hey gang, got a question for you all. i'm a little confused on this topic.
With the Amemiya induction headlight kit (pictured), is that a completely serparate light bucket that would completely replace the standard flush light kit bucket, or does the induction light kit bucket simply mount into the standard light kit bucket?
someone once said something to me about this kit and from what i understood, it was an add on bucket that simply mounted into the standard bucket, but this doesn't sound right to me.
can anyone give me some info on this matter. i currently have one of the replica kits of the stardard flush setup, but i'm dying for the induction kit. if the induction bucket completely replaces the stardard buckets, then my flush light buckets and lenses will be going for sale to buy the induction package.
thanks for the help
alex

Those were originally my lights in the picture. The induction piece is a top half that fits over the regular bucket and then the clear cover goes on top. It's just a flat piece except for the light cutouts and the bulge for the induction hole. There's no real edge, nothing to bolt it to the car. Did you end up buying them from someone else? I sold them to someone in N. Florida who then turned around and sold them to someone else. I wouldn't mind buying them back!

thanks for the clarification on this one. i haven't purchased them yet as i need to save up some money to get them as they are quite pricey, but for my project, i really want them.
these won't be going on a RX-7, but rather a miata, with a v6 and a twin turbo setup, so the induction lights will be usefull with the twin turbo's air intake setup.
thanks for the help

I would just purchase the complete induction headlight kit then...they're now coming with much better lighting. You may be able to order them sans lights and slip some 90mm Hella lights in there which is what I did.

well, i already have a replica RE flush light kit for my car, no lights as of yet though, just the buckets and lenses. i got a price for a single side of the induction light kit at $580, so both sides will be a little pricey, but worth it and then i plan on using some 90 mm hella bi-xenon lights in there.

the price i got of $580 was for the complete induction kit for just one side, the bucket and the cover, so i guess thats a great price. i still have to save up my pennies to get it, but hopefully i'll be able to get it soon.
i think that light package is gonna look killer on my miata, especially since i already have jdm fd front turn signals on the car.
its also gonna really complement the twin turbo setup nicely.
thanks for the info
