amber colour stereo

I'm looking into buying a deck. I wanna know which decks have the amber light that would match the dash of an FC. I've seen a couple Alpine decks that do.

Also, looking for pretty good sound quality, but not too expensive, but that's wut everyone wants, eh?

Kenwoods have them. You have an option between green and amber.

Theyre good units too.

Get the excelon line if you can afford it.

Yep, Alpine and Kenwood have amber lighting options, as does Nakamichi.

Ive got a Kenwood Excelon in my Blazer, and its got a multiple color LCD display. Nowhere near stock colors. Maybe the low end Excelons do, but all the ones I *saw* were multi color LCDs or blue.

I've got an older excelon in my 7, KDC-X911, and it lets you select which color lighting you want to use. Great Head Unit.

There are quite a few head units that let you select color. I think some of the higher end Sonys and Pioneers let you choose like 20 colors or so. I have an Alpine and I love it, though.

A lot of alpines have the switchable green and amber colors. Also the sony mp70 has 10 different colors to choose from, including amber. It is a good looking and good sounding radio.

Nakamichi (CD-35z, etc.) makes some that are nice and stock looking, and can be ordered (not switchable) with an amber display.

Re: Nakamichi

But I don't believe Nakamichi has mp3 players with thier head units. I may be wrong....otherwise I would buy one.

Try putting in a set of white face blue/green indiglos, (they are all over Ebay) and match em up with any of Pioneer's blue face decks- perfect match at night, and not too shabby by day, the white lettering matches the gauges.

My old eclipse head unit went haywire & had to be replaced. I chose an MP3-capable Alpine head unit with the orange lighting, the face can be blacked-out when buttons are not touched. It is not distracting at night. I love it!
