would it still look good if you paint it to match with your exterior color instead?

IMO, that would probably look ugly and I wouldn't see the whole point in getting aluminum steps to paint them. But "to each his own".

But yes I have them and they scratch very easily. TwinTurboTeddy can usually polish them(of course it costs $$) if you want them to "bling-bling". Or do as gordon said and have them chromed.

I stripped the painted scuff plates when the scratches go a little messy, use some metal polish by hand and it now shines like it's chromed. The scratches are mostly gone now. You can use fine sand paper to strip the painted scuff plates BTW.

I think I'm going to be selling my chromed sill plates. Never mounted or used (like pretty much everything I buy then sell after changing my mind, heheh), perfect.

I painted the gold 'RX7' logo gunmetal grey as that I thought the gold was a bit much. Tossing all my shiny pieces for a monochrome look. Anybody interested, please email me at address below. I'll have more pics later.

Yikes! I have a taker on the sill plates, thank you for everyone's interest! If it does not go thru, I have everyone's emails/PMs.

Thanks T, I decided that since it will be the only chrome piece left in the cabin, might as well keep it low key. It does look damn good though, and I'll probably end up ordering another set to chrome when I change my mind next month hehe...

Hi all,

I just heard horrible news from the buyer of my sills that his car was stolen yesterday. He did not have the sills installed, and trying to help him out in finding another buyer. All those that emailed me, sorry - deleted your emails - please email me again and I'll forward your email to him (or Ryan, post here with your contact info).

Thanks Daniel. My email address is cruserrx7@aol or feel free to pm me about the sills. As Daniel mentioned I never had a chance to install them and they look as beautiful as when Daniel mailed them to me.

Thanks

Ryan
