alpine 9815

Hi

I'm planing to buy the new 9815 from Alpine but I just read it doesn't have Anti-shock Memory this means that if my car goes up and donm because a rought road my cd will skip?

try the audioc section or even better call ALPINE i bet they would know

Thi should be in the audio section, but...

I have used Alpine CD players almost exclusively in all my cars and even my 4X truck and have no problems with skipping at all (well occasionally the 10 year old 6 disc changer in the truck skipps when off roading, but that is an exception, and the single disc in the dash I don't think I have ever heard it skip when off roading).

And none of my decks have the buffer anti-skip memory.

i have a buddy that HAD a kennwood cd player in his dakota and he jumped a guard rail and landed on the roof of his truck and the damn thing didnt skip. the player is now in my brothers AE86 and it still playes great

Alpine has the best decks.... I currently have an 6 year old deck, and it works perfectly.

hmmm question.. i just bought that.. now.. the brackets. where they connect to hold the head unit in place.. ? did you guys take it off your old CD player ( the stock one ? ) and put it on the pine unit. ? or what? also.. where did you ground your head unit to?
