I did it all by my lonesome little self. Thanks.

It was a 10th anniversary present for my bitch.

(the car, not the wife.) I'm dead meat if she ever sees this post.

HAHAHa! Ultrasuede IS available in cow print, if that's what you desire.......I came close to doing it in a jaguar print. (j/k)

Actually, Ultrasuede is available in about 100 colors and half a dozen "jungle" prints.

I got tired of looking at my black interior after 10 years.
Here's the Lambo interior I copied:

Hey Ron,

About how much would the Ultrasuede run for just the steering wheel (outside hand gripping area)?

Mine is getting worn. I don't like the idea of replacing it for a racing one and losing the airbag. If I could redress mine back up a little, I'd be much happier.

Well, since Ryan would get pissed at me if I tried to sell you some, (since I still am NOT in this business but am thinking about it) and if I did the entire wheel for you it would cost $425.00 plus your stock wheel as a core, I'll just have to GIVE you some. I've got some leftover Onyx Black Ambience - the thickest they make. PM me with your address and I'll mail some out this coming week.

It's really a pretty difficult job - much harder than it looks, but with some patience, a curved needle, a rotary hole punch and some good resin impregnated lacing cord it can be done. I think you'll find if you do the whole wheel it will be easier.

Hey, if it's good enough for BMW's F1 team steering wheels..........

looks cracking!! how exactly did you do the centre console and other plastic area, just glue the material to it while stretching it around etc???

i can imagine the stitching areas being difficult but luckily im not going to do that bit :P

Exactly. Takes a little time to fit it since you need to glue it on and then pull it tight, while cutting it from behind in "notches" so that it doesn't bunch around corners and lays flat on the backside.

It takes time to do it right and avoid getting the spray glue all over everything.

Wow, that looks awesome. Surprisingly similar to the Lambo interior too. Very well done. I still woulda chosen a different color, but it looks really good.

Thanks! Yeah, believe it or not I considered bright yellow to match my painted calipers.

Then I came down off my crack high. I gotta quit smokin' that stuff!

The Dove Grey is a little darker than it looks in the pix and more "silver". I think a few shades darker would look awesome too. I would love to do an "ink blue" interior on a black car....

Good creativity, but. The classyness of Suede clashes big time with the futuristic look of your silver dash/instrument cluster.

Might want to make a suede dash/instrument cluster too, that would be killer. lol. Then it would be a **** machine.

The colour of the Suede is also...meh. Little dull IMO, but whatever floats your boat.

great job though!

Oh **** - now we have an art critic! (j/k)

Don't you realize the value of the masculine Rustoleum hammered faux spray paint metallic finish against the soft and female 100% Polyester non-continuous filament fake suede? Like Fire and Ice!

Juxtaposition man, juxtaposition! (did I spell that right?)

Just do a search through Yahoo! or any other web searching service for Ultrasuede. Shop around as prices vary greatly. I've seen it go for $65 sq.ft but as low as $40.

Ron, have you done the headliner yet? Like to see pics of that, and how well the 'suede' handles the curves.

Also, can you take a pic of the rear bins, with the center divider removed? I want to see how you did the part covered by the bottom of the divider.

Thanks!

Excellent job Ron. It's obvious that you put in a ton of work getting all that done. I would have chosen a darker gray myself.

Anyway, congrats on a job well done.
