I recently bought a rx7 1986 gxl, but doesnt have power lock, and it came with a alarm (clifford) dont really know what it is because it didnt come with a manual. This alarm came with the car but was never installed.

Now, I want to get a alarm for my car, that could allow me to have keyless entry and alarm, power lock.

Whats my options? don't really want to spend so much money.

 

does your gxl have the thing when you lock your door it locks the passenger door at the same time?

if it does, your in luck.. all you have to do is connect the wires from the door lock(im guessing pwr,gnd,acc) to your chioce of alarm.. the hard part is figuring out the old(stock if you got one) alarm. ill be heading down the same road some day also.. so i cant be much help. but from what i seen behind the door panel.. baring your stock alarm is dissconected, it should be very easy.
