air dams/damns! for 79 RX7

air dams/damns! for 79 RX7
Hello,
I have a 79 RX7 I want to put an air dam on. All the air dams I like seem to only go on the 81 to 85's. Can I change anything to get the later model air dams to fit? Change bumper ect. What is the difference between the 79 and the 81 on front end.
