Aftermarket Hoods - Fitment Comparisons/Feedback

All -

As with many people in Dallas, my stock black hood was completely dented during the hail storms awhile back. It is beyond dent repair. Unfortunately, a fellow RX7Club member that was going to sell me his backed out, so I am looking at alternatives. I am exploring aftermarket alternatives, but do not want to pay horrendous $$ amounts for one. The RX7 is my daily driver.

Questions:
* What is the best aftermarket hood when viewing in terms of quality and fitment?
* What Carbon Fiber hood gives the best fitment?
* Value-wise (ie not the most expensive), what Carbon Fiber hood gives consistent great fitment?
* Which gives the best balance between price/quality/fitment?
* Are hood pins necessary for all CF/aftermarket hoods?

Dallas people:
* Good place to pick one up?
* Good place to have installed (w/ pins too, if necessary)?

Pictures would help.

Thanks in advance,
Eggman

I bought a mazdaspeed replica from a guy last year.
It was one from the group buy here on the forum.
The body shop got the hood to fit perfectly. But the paint around the vents has cracked some. I am looking for a stock hood now.
I still want to keep the carbon fiber one. But I would like to have one that doesnt have paint cracks if you know what I mean.

we have the mazdaspeed replicas

Check out the site:

Our fitment is as good (if not better) than what we have been told of the originals. Many forum members have our hoods and i haven't heard any major complaints.
FD3boost- you might want to check with the paint place, they generally warrantee their work for that type of thing.
