aftermarket headunit

I have a 93 base model FD and it has a stock tape player. I have an aftermarket cd player that I want to put in but my cd player requires an external amp. Does the base model have a factory amplifier? If yes, how can I connect my cd player to the factory amplifier?

If you have a deck that is "pre-out only" then you can't connect to any factory amp that I am aware of. All factory amps (that I know about) have high-level inputs, not the typical "RCA" inputs that aftermarket amps and decks use. In order to use that deck, you will need an amplifier with the correct inputs or a 4 channel line-out converter and a wiring diagram for the factory amp.
