aftermarket facias and ducting?

Just curious, but those running aftermarket facias like the C-West, FEED, etc....what do you do for oil cooler ducting and the bottom splash guard/undertray? Does the undertray work with aftermarket stuff? The 99-spec nose has it's own undertray and ducting but I don't think either would work with something like the C-West or FEED due to the depth of the front lip. I've heard the C-West does have oil cooler ducting as an optional extra. Any thoughts?

I'm running an Apex'i front bumper and had no trouble with the undertray. As for the oil cooler ducts check the pic.

Taz,
The ducting looks great! After speaking with a few different individuals, I've found out a few things...most of the front facias that feature the 99-spec turn signals were designed to be used with the 99-spec ducting and undertray. You can use the 93-95 undertray, but you'll have to drill additional holes in it for the original undertray to work.

As for the oil cooler ducting, the facias that feature larger oil cooling passages don't require ducting due to the fact there's no shortage of airflow. The stock bumper's passages are pretty darn small, as is the opening for the stock IC, hence the need for a duct. Same rules apply. Now, you can get flow AROUND the oil coolers as air takes the path of least resistance. Moving the oil coolers forward so they touch the front facia plus the addition of a blockoff plate (thanks Chuck!) solves that issue. The Mazdaspeed GTC, according to Mazda Competition, has the ducting built in....The C-West does have ducting availible according to Takakaira's web site. I'm still clueless in regards to a few of the others such as the FEED and RE-Amemiya N-1 Facer. I'm assuming they're feasibly deep to channel incoming air. If forced to, I guess I'll have to fab my own up or use the 99-spec ducting and modify it suitably. Thanks for the input.

Taz,
Do you have any other pics of your car? I haven't seen any bigger pics of red FD's with this front. I really like the looks of the APEXi front end and am thinking of going with one but I am planning on removing the peice that runs throught the center of the mouth.

Thanks.

I may be biased, but I still like the Apex'i front bumper best. There's a subtle aggressiveness to it, without being completely ricey.
A pic...I could send you the one in my avatar in it's original size...

I am planning on removing the piece that runs throught the center of the mouth.

Sort off like this?
