add a plate frame to 99 spec copy?
my state requires the front plate on a vehicle, I wanted to add the front plate frame to a 99 spec replica that I can get cheap, I also want to mold it. Has anyone does this? Show me the results or lack thereof.....

I live in MA as well, have you gotten more than one ticket for no front license plate?
I'm thinking of a 99spec body upgrade in the near future, and was thinking of going plateless replica because I am in the group of people that does not like the look of the front frame.
Honestly, couldn't you tell the officer that the car is from 94 and that they did not require front plates then? Have the front plate somewhere in the car to show you have it but have no place to mount it. They can check the vin on the car and see that in fact it is from 94 (even though it looks better than 99% of newer cars on the road lol).
I mean, I can stand on the side of the street for 5 minutes, and count the number of people I see without front mounted plates. Lots of people run plateless on average run of the mill cars.
I'd be curious to hear your experience with the law though, maybe I would change my mind.

Im a licensed inspector and they are cracking down hard on that. Doesnt matter if it was required in 94 or not, it matters what the law is now. They are hitting inspection stations that pass one plate cars with huge fines and they actually are out patroling looking for this now.

Bah, that sucks. I guess I will need to go OEM for the front bumper...
P.S. I looked at your profile and it seems you don't have a front plate either. What are your plans for remedying your car?
