99 spec wing installation

Anyone know if the 99 spec wing requires different holes than the stock R1 spoiler? Is there any drilling required? If so, will the wing cover the old holes?

Thanks in advance!!

I have the '99 spec wing and NO drilling is requiered. NO, it won't cover all the Old holes. 2 will remain exposed but put a screw and bolt with a rubber washer to prevent water getting into your trunk compartment and it will do, till you need to paint the car. The fitting is perfect. Mine is Red and matched the car again perfectly. Get tons of compliments on that wing. You know it is adjustable? I think up to 14 degrees.

Which 2 holes? The two inside fronts? I am having my body shop weld these holes in. The entire car is getting painted right now and the stock R1 spoiler will go on the car. BUT, I will have a 99 spec in a couple of months, so I want to cover the holes now and not worry about it later. We're gonna just mount the stock R1 spoiler with 6 holes.

Thanks!

Cool

Bingo! the 2 inside front. So, go ahead and have those filled up with bondo or welded which is better for sure.
