99 Spec Rebar Required for Body Kits?

I'm going to install a 99 spec style Border Racing Body Kit.

Pic

But I have a 93 FD with the original front end, is a 99 spec reinforcement bar required for the body kit?

Anyone with experiences in installing body kits please give some advice. THanks!

I have no answer to your question, but I would like to say that I love the Border type IV, it's my personal favorite. Good luck!

(except for the wing pictured... if you can call it a wing, looks more like a chair)

If the front end is fiberglass you dont need the rebar.

I have seen actual 99 fronts installed w/o rebars and they are fine. They are flimsy but they ain't gonna fly off or anything. The Border's fronts and made of fiberglass and you don't need the rebar. I have an R-Magic front made of fg and it holds strong. If you're worried about fitment, it should fit with no problems.
