99 spec front bumper?

I have a black 7. I'm thinking about getting a 99 spec front bumper but I dislike the license plate holder. I know Pettit racing has a 99 spec replica for like $550. I was wonder if I could buy a OEM 99 spec front end w/o the license plate holder.. if possible. I also plan on getting a 99 spec rear spoiler, side markers, and eventaully tail lights. Or should I just keep the 93 front bumper? thanks alot.

There are a lot of threads on this issue that could help you out. Just try a search.

I've never heard of Mazda manufacturing any front ends w/o the holder. Most likely you would have to customize it using fiberglass or some polyurethane from your stock bumper.

As for the 99-spec look, I think it looks great!

I can't remember what forum member it was, but they got the 99-spec front end and had a body shop remove the front plate mount and fill it in with fiberglass. I'm not sure what the long term effects would be of combining two dissimilar materials.

that silver looks nice...i'd just stick with the PFS cuz it'll be cheaper and you don't need to spend additional $ to shave the holder off....
in NJ u need both front and back plates so i could use the bracket tho
