I am looking to go from my 93 OEM bumper with R1 lip to a 99 spec bumper with the 99 lip. I was wondering if the heights are the same on these two bumpers. As my driveway steep and I don't want to drag the bumper.

I believe the 99 spec sits a little higher with the lip because the 00 bumper is shorter by itself. the 99 spec lip is meant to sit with the 99 spec bumper(it looks pretty ugly without the lip cause the front bumper is so short), where the 93 spec bumper can sit by itself.

 

oh dear God, no it can't. have you ever seen the 93-96 bumper without a lip of any kind? it looks like ***... pure ***. even with the little nubbin that the touring/base models have it looks terrible.

I'd agree with that, just didn't want to step on anyone's toes. to each his own, you know??

 

I have one 93 w/ the lip and one w/o. The one w/o the lip doesn't look nearly as good although I wouldn't go as far to say it looks like ***. Sry, but I don't know the height difference.

 

the 99spec w/lip is 6 1/4" from the floor on my car stock springs, r1 shocks,17"wheels.
I hope thats good enough because I aint puttin on the stockers to measure it
