99 jspec lip,weather striping peeling

Hey just looking fro some advice. I could not find a thread about this but I think I saw one a few months ago. I juts came back from the shore and the rubber strip on the front of the 99 spec lip has all but peeled off. When I purchased it from thrt RX7 Store it already was lifting in a few areas .Since it dragged I need to repalce it ( I think I have seen a strip of rubber at Home Depot)However I dont know what type of adhesive to secure it on better than the factory did . Send me the link to the thread or let me know ehat you tried. Thanks

Having the same problem myself. Looked at several stores... Home Depot, and Lowes and couldn't find any replacement strip. Actually... it seems like there was some pretty decent adhesive on there for it just to be protecting the edge. I think it's to keep it from permanantly gashing up the front... of course. Once you tear the rubber - it looks even worse.

Maybe I'll just remove it.
