93 touring bose system upgrade questions

Hey everyone,

I have a 93 touring silver with red interior and all of the oringial bose equipment is dead. Every single speaker pops and crackles or doesn't turn on, and the cd player doesn't even work. So I want to remove the factory head unit and speakers and replace with an aftermarket system. I really want to remove the snake in the back because it no longer works, so I am hoping to put speakers back in where the stupid map pocket things are in the rear c pillar area. Problem is I have the red interior, so I can't just replace those 3/4 plastics with the base model stuff. Does anyone have any experience or ideas on how to do this? I have no interest in running a sub so amped rear 5x7/6x8 speakers would be great for nice lows. I also have some questions about what bose harness to get, as well as a mount kit. Let me list out what I've picked out so far.
Kenwood kdc-x995 headunit see here http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-KDC-X995.html
Rockford Fostgate 4 channel 75w rms x 4 mini amp(hoping to stick this behind the dash), seen here http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-PBR300X4.html
Pioneer 6.5 componets 2.5 mount depth for front http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...TS-D1720C.html
and hoping I can fit back speakers these 6x8 pioneer 2 ways http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...TS-D6802R.html
and one of those rubber shorty antennas to stick under the dash(I shaved my factory antenna)
For the mounting equipment which dash kit is correct, this one?
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...8-00-9000.html
and for the harness adapter I'm totally lost. Since I'm not using the factory speakers or amps and going through my own, which would be the best adapter harness to use? I know there is that whole thread on which adapter but everyone there is reusing the factory bose speakers.

Just to restate the questions since it was a long post

Since I have a bose, how can I put speakers in the back 3/4 plastics like the base model(since I'm removing the snake junk)?
Which dash kit is correct, the one I have listed?
And which wire harness is correct for the bose if you don't want to reuse the factory speakers? Do I need to run new wires for the rear speakers since they aren't there for the bose, or did the factory put them in anyway?

Sorry about all the questions, I'm pretty new to car audio and I tried searching around for answers with the bose but it seems like everyone just changes the head unit and keeps the factory speakers, so I couldn't find any answers.

Thanks,

Ryan

Yes you can put speakers back there, but you need to find R1/R2, Base rear speaker brackets and grills if you can find them. When i went through and did mine i bought a generic harness to put my tv in, but I ran new 14g wire to both doors and to the back just to get rid of the older wiring because its really thin anyways and being that old will probably hinder the sound of the new stuff.

So did you actually have a bose model and then added rear speakers to it? I just looked in the pocket things and they are actually molded in with the rear 3/4 plastics, so that means I would have to cut the pocket out. Does the base speaker grill pop directly into where the pocket is?

I kinda figured on running new speaker wires back there anyway, so thats not such a big deal.

Does anyone know which dash kit I should get?

Yes I had a touring with bose that I removed. As for the rear pockets, if you take the panels out theyre essentially plastic spot welded down, all you have to do is get a screw driver and pop them off. Thats what i did.
