My system is in great shape, sounds good, and works well....except for when it comes to the CD player. The symptoms seem to be this; when playing a CD the CD player's audio seems to go out. After going out, when it comes back in, it's accompanied by some static for about 1-2 seconds.
The CD is not skipping. I know this because when the music comes back in, it doesnt leave where it left off. I've tried to clean the CD player with a disk cleaner several times and no luck. I'm guessing that its electrical....maybe a wire is lose? I've tried to pay close attention and see if it happens at any particular time (hot, cold, bumpy, higher RPMs) and nothing seems to fit. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this problem as well or has heard of it. I've heard that replacing the stock deck is VERY expensive, so I'd rather not do that. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Thats The ANTI SHOCK protection going haywire - It is supposed to lift the laser away from the disk when it detects high shock loads (Bumps) then return .5sec after last shock - it keeps time though so if it is in ANTI SHOCK for say 2 sec it skips 2 sec of music. But over time the Shock Sensors get so sensitive any little vibration will set it off. - Mine is triggered by every lane marker dot I run over.
