93 FD Tail light oxidation/fading fix?

Ok so I only found 4 post on this that didn't help me what so ever.

Lets say I am new at this car thing and I need a hooked on phonics step by step Tail light oxidation/fading fix for dummies!

My one right side taillight is turning greyish purple(not black) over the top where the sun hits it the most.

Please help me and others that are in need of this help.

Thanks in advance~

Depending on the severity, plastic polish will take care of it.
This can be a tricky proposition, be careful not to melt the plastic by getting to aggressive with the polishing compounds and generating enough heat to locally heat the area.
