does anyone know if the rear hatch on an '86-88 model could be replaced by one from a '89-91 model?

I'd like to know if it's possible and if it is possible, would the body match up with the hatch completely.

I know like the '89-91 front's don't 100% match the fenders of the '86-88 models.
