i have an 88 vert that is audio challenged. Both front speakers work. Both door speaker DO NOT work. The passenger headrest speakers work, but the driver's DO NOT.

Just trying to determine if this is a deck prob, an amp prob or something else. I want to keep the stock stereo if possible. Any suggestions? thanks in advance for any advice.

The speakers not working are more than likely worn out or dissolving from age.

I would check the speakers before heading any other direction.

BTW, I have a spare vert door amp if it turns out not to be the speakers

 

like icemark says..they are probly rotted from being rained on in the door.

 

speakers all checked out. any other suggestions?

So how did you check them???

did you hook them up to a digital Multi-meter or another known working stereo's output???
